Sherpur Municipality has established at 1 April 1869. Acctualy by the effort of British-Indian Association Municipality was established at Sherpur. The activities of the Sherpur Municipality Started at a Tin house at the place, where is now Charu Bhaban Situated. At 1930 the heritege building Charu Bhavan was made by Hemonta Chandra Chowdhury.
